Description and Expectations

purpose:

The collaborative is governed by a Chief Elected Officials Board consisting of a county commissioner from each county. The CEO Board meets at least annually before the annual meeting of the Collaborative and at other times as necessary.

mission:
The Board of Chief Elected Officials gives authority to either the PACT for Families Director or the Executive Board Chair to enter into any contract or to execute any instrument for the agency. The PACT for Families Attorney is authorized to certify entities' requirements when required.
Governing duties:
  1. Review and approval of upcoming budget.

  2.  Annual authorization to apply for grant funds.

  3. Annual appropriation of tax dollars.

  4. Review of Bylaws.

The board provides leadership, governance, and oversight to ensure PACT for Families fulfills its mission and organizational needs.

mission statement:
Partners working together to strengthen families and support children in achieving their highest potential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide organizational leadership and policies

  • Oversee financial management, grants, and programs

  • Review organizational and program reports

  • Promote PACT for Families

Board Member Expectations:
  • Attend monthly meetings (First Tuesday, 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM, Kandiyohi County HHS Building)

  • Serve on committees (meeting ~4 times/year)

  • Participate in up to two special events annually

  • Support and promote PACT’s mission and initiatives

  • Stay informed on PACT’s budget and financial needs
