JOB TITLE: School Liaison
TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: PACT for Families Executive Director

JOB SUMMARY:
The School Liaison strengthens engagement between PACT for Families Collaborative and school districts across the five-county region. This position conducts regular outreach to schools, coordinates quarterly professional development opportunities, manages the school-based discretionary fund, and ensures districts have clear access to PACT programs and resources. The liaison plays a key connecting role across substance use prevention, transition services, and family support services. Significant travel is required.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Visit each member school district at least once every other month to maintain strong relationships and regular communication.
• Attend school board and superintendent meetings to help gain an understanding of local district needs.
• Communicate consistently with district leaders, counselors, social workers, and other school staff to share information about PACT programs, resources, and services.
• Identify emerging needs within school districts and help connect schools to appropriate PACT supports.
• Coordinate quarterly regional professional development meetings for school social workers and related staff.
• Assist with planning and coordinating school-based trainings in collaboration with PACT staff and community partners.
• Track participation in professional development offerings and maintain communication about ongoing learning needs.
• Serve as a liaison across PACT’s substance use prevention, transition services, and family support programs to ensure school staff are aware of available supports and referral pathways.
• Support school engagement with county substance use prevention coalitions and maintain communication between schools and coalition coordinators.
• Facilitate the discretionary fund supporting school-based professional development, early intervention strategies, and training needs.
• Review discretionary fund requests to ensure alignment with PACT goals and funding guidelines, and provide technical assistance as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of school visits, communications, and discretionary fund use.
• Assist with narrative summaries, quality improvement reporting, and other grant-related tasks as assigned.
• Participate in PACT meetings and cross-program activities to ensure coordinated and consistent messaging across the Collaborative.
QUALIFICATIONS AND PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, public health, human services, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in education, youth services, mental health, community engagement, or related fields preferred.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across agencies and build strong partnerships.
• Experience working with diverse populations and commitment to culturally responsive practices.
• Understanding of school systems and community-based services.
• Ability to present information clearly and facilitate group discussions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond flexibly to emerging needs.
• Ability to motivate and energize others, demonstrate creativity, and approach challenges with initiative.
• Sensitivity and interest in supporting youth, families, and school communities across varied backgrounds.

TRAVEL: There is significant travel within the five counties, the PACT service area, and occasional travel in the State. Valid driver's license, car insurance and vehicle required. Work hours may require late afternoon and evening meeting times and appointments.

HOURS WORKED AND SALARY: This is a full-time, salaried position with comprehensive benefits. Salary will range from $51,929 depending on experience, education and training.
