About the Role

We are seeking a candidate from the Somali community to serve as a Community Liaison supporting members of their own community. This position will focus on culturally responsive outreach and engagement efforts that are central to our grant goals and objectives. The Community Liaison will help connect individuals and families to both telehealth and in-person services, while promoting culturally and linguistically appropriate support.

Preference will be given to candidates who speak Somali and have strong connections within the local Somali community. The Liaison will collaborate with youth, families, community stakeholders, and cultural leaders to expand access, build evidence-based practices, and provide support to prevent substance misuse and promote mental health. The role also includes supporting youth with career opportunities in mental health and substance use treatment.

Some evenings and weekend hours as well as extensive local travel expected, valid driver’s license and auto insurance required. This is a grant funded position. Open to conversations about hours due to the unique position.
